Lapsang Souchong 立山小種
Smoky, Wood, Mellow
Our Lapsang Souchong comes from that tea styles place of origin, Tongmu village in the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian province, China. Lapsang Souchong is a black tea. Traditionally this style of tea is smoked for many hours over pine wood fires in order to impart the tea with a distinctive smoky flavour. Although known as a robust tea, a good quality Lapsang Souchong shouldn’t have harsh astringency or a rough taste. Golden-coppery in the cup with a complex palate of burnt wood flavours, this tea is a favourite for people who love a strong, tarry tea.
