One of the five major coffee-producing regions in Nicaragua, accounting for 80% of the country's coffee exports.
Jinotega is surrounded by mountains and characterized by volcanic soil. It predominantly produces Bourbon and Caturra varieties. The coffee from this region is known for its floral aroma, distinct acidity, fruity flavors, and a smooth, full-bodied texture.
Since being purchased by farm owner Eleane Mierisch in 2016, Las Delicias has produced a variety of coffees, including Javanica Washed, Red Pacamara, and Yellow Pacas. The Javanica Washed, in particular, achieved
fourth place in the Nicaragua COE competition.
