Nicaragua National Winner - Agua Sarca
Agua Sarca is the brainchild of three generations of the Finca coffee growing family in Nicaragua. Finca Agua Sarca has been ranked in Nicaragua's prestigious Cup Of Excellence rating for four consecutive years.
Blooms Roastery is bidding on this honey-processed Nicaraguan coffee, with a cupping score of 86.68. The cupping flavor is also quite rich, and the Blooms Roastery Team hopes to bring out the flavors of different fruits in it.
During our Development, our goal was to make this coffee taste sour and fruity, with a butter-like thickness.
Among them, the floral aroma, cherry and grapefruit are the most prominent. As the water temperature drops, there will be more acidic fruit flavors such as lime, kiwi, passion fruit and so on.
The bean variety of this coffee is Maracaturra. Maracaturra is a high-yield hybrid variety in Brazil, which is a cross between Maragogype and Caturra. Mainly found in Brazil, El Salvador and Nicaragua. They have larger bean bodies and leaves.
About the National Winner Program
The program Launched in 2016, this program showcases the semi-finalists from the Cup of Excellence, presenting coffees that score 86 or above but didn't make the final auction cut. These beans are the unsung heroes of coffee, often surpassing regular specialty coffees in quality and flavor.
Through this program, they offer these exclusive coffees in global online auctions, with a significant portion of the proceeds going back to the dedicated farmers. Dive into the world of exquisite tastes and support the incredible artisans behind each bean.
